WARTAKOTALIVE.COM, JAKARTA – The news of Ustaz Das’ad Latif (UDL) who has been ill and has been in intensive care at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore since Friday (17/3/2023), was highlighted by Ilham Bintang.
The man who is nicknamed the king of infotainment and the pioneer of infotainment journalism visited Ustaz Das’ad Latif directly on Monday (27/3/2023).
In his meeting, Ilham Bintang revealed the current condition of the cleric who is known for his humor.
Ustaz Das’ad Latif said he had a lung infection caused by a fungus that had improved.
Ustaz Das’ad Latif also informed him that he was allowed to go home on Tuesday (28/3/2023) tomorrow.
“Monday (27/3/2023) received good news about Ustaz Das’ad Latif (UDL) directly from the famous preacher in Singapore. UDL contacted me on WhatsApp, the good news,” said Ilham Bintang.
“‘My lungs are overgrown with mushrooms, thank God they have been resolved properly. God willing, tomorrow I will go home,'” he said, imitating Ustaz Das’ad Latif’s words.

According to Ustaz Das’ad Latif, the reason he was referred to the hospital was because he complained of frequent shortness of breath.
After being examined, the doctor stated that the cause of the shortness of breath was a drug that was routinely consumed by Ustaz Das’ad Latif.
“There is a drug that is the cause. However, UDL doesn’t feel comfortable mentioning the name of the medicine. Strong medicine, Ustaz?,” he asked.
“No. (I) am still strong,” Ilham said, imitating Ustaz Das’ad Latif’s answer.
“I also deliberately teased him and from his quick response, it has explained his recovery rate,” he explained.
Lung infection experienced by Ustaz Das’ad Latif is known to have originated from fungal spores named Histoplasma capsulatum.
Spores of this fungus are often found in soil or in bird and bat droppings, and can enter the body if we accidentally inhale them through the air.
