Strong gusts of winds and scant rains with hail hit the city of Puerto Casado at dawn this Sunday, leaving innumerable damage. So far the entire Department of Alto Paraguay is without electricity.

Fallen trees, discarded houses and fallen Internet service antennas, as well as loose cables from the National Electricity Administration (ANDE) are reported after the storm that lasted a few minutes, reported Ultima Hora journalist Alcides Manena.

Although the number of houses affected is not specified, it is mainly housing in the urban area of ​​the city. In addition to a sidewalk in the Don Bosco neighborhood located towards the river bank, it also registered damage.

Workers from the Andes are working in the affected areas, but due to the amount of loose cables, the electricity service was cut off in the entire Department of Alto Paraguay.

For its part, the Government of Alto Paraguay, which has a sub-office in Puerto Casado, has already carried out a survey of the damage. So far it would be the only town affected by the storm.
