Tinu Weyermann (61) gets his coffee every morning at the K-Kiosk in Utzenstorf train station. At least until three weeks ago: the point of sale has been closed since then – “for organizational reasons”, as the notice on the door says.
The kiosk is an “important meeting place in the village,” says Weyermann. He also criticizes the lack of transparency: «‹For organizational reasons› is an elastic term. Leaving us in the dark is unreasonable,” said the 61-year-old. The K-Kiosks Burgdorf and Wynigen are also closed.
At the request of 20 minutes, the kiosk operator Valora confirmed the temporary closure of the four sales outlets; in addition to those mentioned, the one in Steffisburg BE is also affected. “The reason for this is the bankruptcy of the agency partner who managed the four sales outlets,” said spokesman Martin Zehnder.
Efforts are being made to reopen the outlets as soon as possible under new management. And further: “We regret that customers feel that they are not sufficiently informed and can understand this to a certain extent. However, since the date of the reopening has not yet been set, we were not able to report this either.”
