Temporary ban on foreigners entering Saudi Arabia from 20 countries, including India

Jeddah: The Saudi Interior Ministry has announced that people from 20 countries have been temporarily barred from entering the country in the wake of rising Kovid cases in Saudi Arabia. The ban will take effect on Wednesday, February 3, from 9 p.m. Other countries banned are the UAE, Germany, the United States, Indonesia, Italy, Pakistan, the United Kingdom, South Africa, France, Lebanon, Egypt, Japan, Argentina, Ireland, Brazil, Portugal, Turkey, Sweden and Switzerland.

However, Saudi nationals, foreign diplomats, health workers and their families from these countries are not barred from entering Saudi Arabia in strict compliance with the Kovid regulations set by the Saudi Ministry of Health.

People from other countries who have visited the banned countries for the past 14 days are also barred from coming to Saudi Arabia. However, it is unclear whether citizens of banned countries, including India, will be able to enter Saudi Arabia after completing 14 days of quarantine in non-banned countries.
