Yesterday police officers proceeded to confiscate the hard disks with the original audio recordings of the night of the Tempe train accident following the order of the Appellate Investigator, who is conducting the judicial investigation into the tragedy.
According to information from the “Eleftheria” newspaper of Larissa, the police officers of the Attica Security Directorate, flanked by a prosecutor’s office after research at the OSE offices in Athensthey proceeded to confiscate the hard drives with the original audios of the conversations of the pre-arrested Station Master and the train drivers on the evening of February 28, 2023.
As it turns out, copies of the recorded conversations are in the hands of the appellant investigator and for this reason and after the publication of the STEP for editing the recorded conversations, it is necessary to compare them with the conversations that were handed over to the judicial officials who are conducting the investigation.
Police officers and an investigator were initially at the OSE building on Karolou Street and then went to Athens Station, where the conversations from the recorders are kept. A ladder was also found at the Acharna Railway Center, where the archives of the digital communication and radio coverage system are located.
Sampling of the transported soils
On Friday, April 5, it is expected that the soil stored on a private contractor’s plot will be checked.
By order of the appellant investigator, Sot. Bakaimi investigating the causes of the Tempe railway tragedy, scale Chemists of the Chemical Service together with experts and a public prosecutor will go to the plot in order to do a sample check.
According to the order of Mr. Bakaimis, these soils will be subjected to the same chemical test that was performed both at the site of the railway tragedy in Tempi and in Koulouri, as well as a test to detect any genetic material by specially trained dogs, without yet to be known if this check will also be done next Friday.
