Temperature warning has been issued in six districts in the state today. Kollam, Kottayam, Alappuzha, Kannur, Pathanamthitta and Thiruvananthapuram districts are warned that the temperature will rise. The weather department has informed that the temperature is likely to rise by 2 to 5 degrees Celsius.

According to the Central Meteorological Department, the temperature may rise to 36°C in Kollam district, 35°C in Kottayam district, 34°C in Alappuzha, Kannur and Pathanamthitta districts and 33°C in Thiruvananthapuram district.

The general public should avoid exposing the body to direct sunlight for a long period of time between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Drink as much clean water as possible. Keep drinking water even if you are not thirsty.
