One of them fell in Dukovany in Třebíč and the other in Troubsko in the Brno region, in both cases meteorologists measured 25.1 degrees Celsius there. The warmest was then in Brno-Žabovřesky and in Dyjákovice in the Znojmo region, at 25.5 degrees. But the temperature record did not fall there. This was said by Blanka Gvoždíková from the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (CHMI) and Peter Hruška from its Brno branch.

At the station in Troubsko, a record from 1993 still applied for this day, when meteorologists measured 24.9 degrees Celsius there. Today it was two tenths more. Also for Dukovany, the previous record for September 25 was 28 years old, but today’s temperature exceeded it by one tenth.

Meteorologists predict warm weather even on Sunday and do not rule out that new highest values could be recorded again somewhere. According to the forecast, it should be clear to partly cloudy in the Czech Republic and the highest temperatures should climb to 22 to 26 degrees.
