The news was revealed by Der Spiegel. Currently the parliament, the Bundestag, limits its energy consumption in the midst of a crisis.
“Some MPs complain that such conditions pose a health risk,” said Der Spiegel’s report on Friday (11/25/2022).

In an article titled “Ice Age in Parliament,” the magazine noted that several ministers and MPs had worn turtlenecks under jackets and scarves in offices.
According to Der Spiegel, “it got cold in the Bundestag, very cold”.
The outlet quoted Green Party MP Renate Kuenast as complaining: “I sit in my jacket in the office and constantly run around. However, after a while my nose got cold.

The temperature inside the German parliament building is said to have dropped significantly over the past week.
In Kuenast’s office, the thermostat read 18.2 degrees Celsius, though he said it had been even colder the previous day.
