It is recalled that the TETHA document in question was sent in the spring of 2023, when for the first time the issue of transporting the debris to the Army area was raised. A request that had been accepted by the then Minister of National Defence, Nik. Panagiotopoulos, with the GES having even indicated camps in Larissa.

In fact, in that GES document, the “disadvantages” of the Larissa camps were also noted, such as the “prominent position” that had been proposed for the transport of the debris. Ultimately for reasons not made known, the wreckage was never moved to any of the proposed camps and has remained at Koulouri ever since.
