The prosecution returned the report to the Fire Department asking specific questions to be completed. This was followed by a new autopsy on March 29, 2023 by the Fire Department and a supplementary report which was submitted to the Court at the beginning of July 2023.

Gourbatsis: Covering up responsibilities and concealing facts

It is recalled that on Thursday, February 28, the well-known lawyer Stelios Sourlas, who legally represents relatives of the victims and injured of the tragedy, submitted a request to the appellate investigator Sotiris Bakaimis with which he requested to be appointed as an expert witness, Lt. They submitted a two-page report

The actions they took are recorded in five lines, not one more. There are three memoranda that accompany the two-page assistance form. The first is about the vehicles used in the incident, the second is the list of the names of the victims and the third, two more pages describing the incident, without any useful information, only facts that we are equally capable of knowing, since they had been known from the first moment.

The second report

As we mentioned above, the fire department returned to the scene. This was done on 3/29 to carry out an additional autopsy – investigation while the surrounding area had already been altered, as well as other pre-investigative acts, which were not done when they should have been, raising many questions, as it is revealed that the fire service also acted without following any protocol . In the supplementary report of the autopsy and investigation of the causes of the fire, the fire brigade report makes findings, already known, since it refers to the already existing expert opinions.
