Tempe: Hearts were broken at the memorial service for the tragedy – 2024-03-02 19:54:15

It has been a year since the tragedy in Tempe, where it claimed the lives of 57 people and left behind several injured.

The families of the victims were at the scene, where time stopped for them. The Evangelismos point that on February 28, 2023 at 23:22, the two trains of the railway station collided violently and “painted” the area with blood.

Relatives and friends of the 57 souls who left so unjustly in one moment, paid tribute with flowers, notes, banners and with a religious ceremony in Tempi. Most could not hold back their tears and grief over their losses.

The regional governor of Thessaly, Dimitris Kouretas, also attended the ceremony.

The 57 people who died in the accident from the youngest 15 years old to the oldest 67 years old, had plans and dreams for the future, which were left in the middle. They had parents, children, friends, partners who didn’t have time to say goodbye.

All 57 became airborne over the bloody valley of Tempe. We will never forget them. We must not forget them.
