Temanggung Health Office Performs Fogging in DHF Endemic Areas

Temanggung, Media Center – The Temanggung Regency Health Office (Dinkes) is aggressively conducting fogging or fumigation in endemic areas of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF), Thursday (9/12/2021).

The Secretary of the Temanggung Health Office, Dwi Sukarmei, said the fumigation was focused on three sub-districts, namely Temanggung, Parakan and Kaloran sub-districts. Because in the three sub-districts 9 people were found to be infected with dengue.

“There are 9 residents who have contracted DHF, but Alhamdulillah they have recovered, for that we intensify fogging to prevent the development of the Aedes aegypty mosquito,” he said.

Dwi explained that DHF is very dependent on the time period, namely the high intensity of mosquitoes during the rainy season like today.

“Mosquito intensity is high during the rainy season as it is today, for this reason, fumigation is carried out in all waterways and mosquito breeding places, as well as in every corner of residents’ houses,” he added.

The Temanggung Health Office invites the public to keep the environment clean with 3M plus.

“Until now, dengue cases have not shown an extraordinary event (KLB), one or two are still infected, so there has not been a high enough spike,” he said.

In addition to fumigation, the Health Office also cooperates with larva monitoring or jumantik to disseminate information to the public so that they can live clean and healthy behaviors. So that the spread of dengue fever in Temanggung can be handled properly.

“Our anticipation is that we have deployed the control and prevention section of infectious diseases to disseminate information to the community so that there will be no spike in dengue cases,” he concluded. (MC.TMG/fr;ekp)
