Telkomsel Releases New Logo and Changes Product Name

Mobile operator Telkomsel officially changed the logo after 26 years of operation in Indonesia. The state-owned company is also streamlining its product identity.

President Director of Telkomsel, Hendri Mulya Syam, said the new logo marked a new chapter for Telkomsel in providing services with an Indonesian cultural identity.

“The renewal of Telkomsel’s identity is marked by the presence of a new logo design inspired by the Batik pattern as Indonesian cultural identity,” Hendri said virtually, Friday (18/6).



The new logo, said Hendri, is also a renewal of the company’s identity to a visual brand that will strengthen commitment as a symbol of change in the future.

Furthermore, he explained the meaning of the new Telkomsel logo which was released in the momentum of the 26th anniversary. Hendri explained that the new logo has a batik pattern which is an Indonesian cultural identity. The new logo was prepared in about two years.

“It is hoped that this will always be relevant in every phase of Indonesian people’s life,” concluded Hendri.

Even so, the new Telkomsel logo still has a dominant red color. This is one of the identities of the state-owned cellular operator.

With the change of the Telkomsel logo, the Minister of Communication and Information, Johnny G. Plate hopes that the OPsel can provide changes to a complete digital transformation.

“The change in the Telkomsel logo is expected to be a symbol of fundamental change that accompanies a more complete and mature digital transformation,” Johnny said virtually, Friday (18/6).

Change the product name

In addition to launching a new logo, his party also streamlined several service products such as Simpati, Kartu As and Loop to become Telkomsel Prepaid.

Meanwhile, Telkomsel Prepaid and Kartu Hallo products were merged into Telkomsel Hallo.

Streamlining the product is claimed to provide more convenience for its customers.

“The integration of products and services provides a lot of convenience and comfort for customers,” said Hendri.
