Kylian Mbappé leaves Paris Saint-Germain and is expected to continue at Real Madrid ESPN reports.
The top scorer of the 2022 World Cup moved from AS Monaco to PSG in 2017, where he became the goalscorer and won the French league title five times and the French Cup three times. He was already close to joining Real in 2022, but then he ended up staying at PSG.
The player announced in an Instagram video that this will be his last season at PSG and will play his last game for the team at the Parc des Princes on Sunday. In the video, he also talks about how it was a great honor for him to play in the biggest French club team, where he could be with the best, learn and develop from his glories and mistakes.
Mbappé thanked the PSG coaches he was able to play under (Unai Emery, Thomas Tuchel, Mauricio Pochettino, Christophe Galtier and Luis Enrique). He ended his video by saying that he never thought it would be so difficult to leave his team, his country, the French league, but he feels he needs a new challenge after seven years.
The Spanish sports newspaper Marca wrote in February that Mbappé had already signed for Real Madrid. According to the newspaper, he signed a five-year contract with Real Madrid starting this summer.
