Television Tip: Refurbishing Classic Cars in Salvage Hunters | NOW

Antique dealer Drew Pritchard and car enthusiast Paul Cowland search all junkyards for that one gem they can still save. Thursday evening they give a Fiat 500 from 1970 a major makeover Salvage Hunters: Classic Cars.

The goal is to refurbish the classic cars nicely enough that they also yield a profit once they are sold. Cowland must therefore keep Pritchard in line, because if it were up to the antique dealer, he would spend tons to renovate the cars.

Thursday evening the car enthusiasts will start working with a Fiat 500. The old tank has collected a considerable layer of rust in the past forty years. In addition to a new coat of paint, tires and interior, Pritchard also wants to give the car a stronger engine. But Cowland doesn’t really like the budget they have.

Salvage Hunters: Classic Cars can be seen every Thursday at 8.30 pm on Discovery.
