Television presenter Eduardo Bandera dies at the age of 54 in Malaga

Television presenter Eduardo Bandera died this Saturday at the age of 54 at his home in the Malaga town of Alhaurín de la Torre, according to information provided to EFE by his friend and artistic producer Paco Taconyc.

Bandera participated in Canal Sur Television programs such as ‘Se llama copla’, Christmas Eve specials and New Year’s Eve chimes; he collaborated in a television program by the late María Teresa Campos and presented programs on 101 TV about the Málaga Fair.

Eduardo Sánchez Bandera was also an actor, he was closely linked to the artistic world and in his family there were singers such as his father, Niño Bonela, and his brother, Francis Bonela.

Eduardo died early this morning, apparently from a heart attack; the wake is taking place at the Málaga Cemetery Park (Parcemasa) and his remains will be transferred to the Málaga town of Casarabonela, his hometown, explained the manager of the artistic production company Ocio y Cultura La Fábrica, Paco Taconyc, with whom Bandera collaborated.

The presenter was in Chipiona (Cádiz) on Thursday night, coinciding with a performance by Las Carlotas, his friends, on the occasion of the patron saint festivities of Nuestra Señora de Regla.
