TelevisaUnivision Launches ‘Contigo en la Comunidad’ Program to Empower Latinos

TelevisaUnivision (TU) launched the program “Contigo en la Comunidad” to keep Latinos informed on topics such as health, education, immigration, financial and civic participation.

Hosted by Adriana Andrade and lasting 30 minutes, “Contigo en la Comunidad” will air every Saturday at 6 pm on various stations, including Philadelphia and New York.

The program derives in part from the success achieved by initiatives such as Feria Contigo and Tu Salud, a health forum organized by Univision New York that allowed many Latinos to share their experiences with illnesses and obtain reliable information from health professionals.

Roberto Yañez, Northeast Regional Manager, President and General Manager of Univision New York, said that at Univision, the unwavering commitment is to empower Hispanics to thrive in all aspects of their lives, from health and well-being to taking pride in its rich identity and culture.

“The ‘With You in the Community’ program is a powerful vehicle that equips our viewers with essential information, knowledge and tools, ensuring they lead better lives and thrive in their communities,” said Yañez.

Currently, Adriana Andrade serves as Director of Community Empowerment for Univision Atlanta and North Carolina. Additionally, she is a founding board member of the Women’s Division of the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and vice president of the Gwinnett County Public Libraries. She is the first Latina to hold this position in the 100-year history of Georgia’s largest library system.

Adriana has also been named one of Georgia’s 50 Most Influential Latinas and one of the 35 Most Influential Professionals Under 35.
