Under the slogan “Let’s show that we can” and with the presence of Brother Isidro Vásquez, vice president of the Teletón Foundation, as well as television hosts Cristian Rivero and Jaime Mandros “Choca”, and personalities from art, music, sport and social networks, the Telethon made an emergency call to avoid stopping the rehabilitation of thousands of boys and girls, as well as help the thousands who are on the waiting list.
“In recent years our income has decreased as a result of the pandemic. In 2019 we achieved 12 million 553 thousand soles, since then we had a 2020 without an event. In 2021-with a lot of effort and still in a pandemic-we achieved a collection of just over 6 million soles, with an atypical event. And in 2022, the Telethon could not be held. This 2023 we return with the hope that Peruvians will unite again and Let’s show our solidarity for the girls and boys of the Teletón”, pointed out Brother Isidro.
To achieve this goal, the Telethon will be held next September 8 and 9with the slogan “Let’s show that we can”, always with the support of the National Society of Radio and Television, which will broadcast the incidents of the new event through the main channels of TV nationwide.
But to reach this year’s goal, which is 12 million 553 thousand 005 soles, you can already donate in the following channels, such as BCP, through its website, its mobile application or Yape.
You can also donate through Interbank, BBVA, Scotiabank and BanBif. For people who wish to donate from abroad, they can do so through PayPal, also at the cashiers of ProMart, Tambo and Aruma stores, as well as on the web: www.teleton.pe.
“Every Peruvian can make a difference to save the Telethon. Because by not taking place events of the usual magnitude during and after the pandemic, their income began to decrease and this has jeopardized the viability of continuing with the rehabilitation of thousands of girls and boys. It’s time to donate and be part of this great movement that helps many people throughout the country”, commented the TV host Cristian Rivero, who was determined to give everything in this edition for children who need help.
The Telethon press conference was attended by, among others, Daniela DarcourtFederico Salazar, Leslie Shaw, Farik Grippa, Camila Escribens (Miss Peru 2023), Fernando Armas, Angelo Fukuy, Amanda Portales, Marco Romero, Koky Bonilla, “Puma” Carranza, “Pantera” Zegarra, Raysa Ortiz, Adriana Quevedo, among others.
