Telenor Bulgaria changes its name to Yettel from March 1

Telenor Bulgaria will be called Yettel (“Yettel”) from March 1. This was announced to the media by the telecom.

The name change is part of a broader rebranding initiative in Bulgaria, Hungary and Serbia, where telecommunications companies, part of PPF, operate under the Telenor brand.

We remind you that in 2018 PFF acquired the assets of the Norwegian telecommunications company of the same name in Bulgaria and several other countries in Central and Eastern Europe.

“Our business strategy is focused on three key goals. First, we want to provide our customers with the best service. Secondly, to operate with the most modern telecommunication networks and thirdly, to achieve the highest levels of efficiency and profitability. A strong brand is crucial to achieving our vision, “said Marek Slacik, Executive Director of PPF Telecom Group’s Telecommunications, Media and Technology Business for Central and Eastern Europe.

“Today we begin a new chapter in the history of the three markets in the PPF Telecom Group’s portfolio, building on the solid position created by the very successful Telenor brand. Our ambition is to be even closer to our customers, creating added value through the new Yettel brand. ”

Yettel is a modern brand that incorporates the latest trends, while taking into account the growing role of technology in people’s lives, added the telecommunications company. Created on the basis of consumer perceptions and market research, it aims to improve the lives of customers with innovative products and services.

“Yettel is a new name, a new word. In 2022 we plan exciting new products and services, while our strategic focus remains the same: to grow and develop the Bulgarian market through the use of next generation technologies for the benefit of our customers, striving to bring positive change in business and society. , said Jason King, CEO of Telenor Bulgaria.

Telenor starts the transition to its new brand today, and the goal is to complete it in all aspects by the end of March. The change of the brand will be imperceptible for the customers, as no action is required from them. During the transition to the new brand, Telenor will answer all questions from its customers in a short time. The official and full unveiling of the Yettel brand will take place on March 1.
