Telenet offers Visual Voicemail on iOS – Tablets and telephones – News

Telenet now offers Visual Voicemail on the iPhone. That can already be used with many providers, but the Belgian ISP had not yet activated the feature. Visual Voicemail shows voicemail messages in the operating system.

Met Visual Voicemail it is possible to play voicemail messages directly from the Phone app. Users no longer have to call 5555 to listen to their messages. In the app they can play voicemails and scroll through the message, similar to music tracks. It is also possible to immediately call back a person, delete a message or share it.

It is still possible to listen to messages via 5555. That number also remains in use to change voicemail settings, such as the opening message. Telenet does stop sending an SMS when a user has a voicemail message.

Visual Voicemail has been around for years, but must be enabled by the provider. This function has existed for a long time with Dutch providers KPN and T-Mobile. The function is automatically switched on on iOS for Telenet customers. They will receive a text message when that has happened. Customers must have at least an iPhone 6S or SE and be on the most recent version of iOS.
