Telemann was one of the most prolific composers of the Baroque, and the quartets for flute, violin, cello and basso continuo are undoubtedly among the most brilliant gems of his work.
Their first edition appeared in 1730 in Paris, hence today they are known as the “Paris Quartets”. The international ensemble Les Ambassadurs, created in 2011 by the French flutist and conductor Alexis Kosenko, will perform a selection of 4 quartets in which the different instruments partner equally and reveal lovely virtuoso melodies.
