Dhe 55,000 employees of Deutsche Telekom will receive more money from August. The Verdi union and the company agreed on a collective bargaining agreement on Thursday morning, as both sides announced. According to Telekom, the salaries of the employees will increase in two stages during the 24-month term of the contract, depending on the classification of the employees in a range “between 4.8 and 5.2 percent”.

Verdi negotiator Frank Sauerland emphasized that the result creates security and prospects for the employees of the largest German telecommunications group. Telekom negotiator Sigrid Heudorf emphasized that the two-year term gives everyone involved planning security. “We are also mitigating the impact of increased inflation, especially for workers in lower- and middle-income brackets,” she said.

The trainees and dual students in the Group also get more money as a result of the collective agreement.
