Giving users new ways to interact with each other is a crucial element for any social media platform. The environment is changing and it is a matter of seconds to lose a subscriber. Telegram is aware of this reality.
The great competitor of WhatsApp knows that if it wants to at least fight for the dominance of its category, it needs to offer more and better features, which is why the update of its service has been constant.
In this line, the next Telegram has to do with the integration of reactions to messages, yes, as it already happens in other platforms such as Messenger.
With this movement, the messaging app would be following in the footsteps of WhatsApp, a service that last summer showed this feature within its platform in a beta version.
Reactions in Telegram in detail
This novelty has been seen for the first time in the iOS version of Telegram where about 11 reactions are offered that can be used in individual and group chats.
In the latter case, users will be able to identify which member of the group has delivered a reaction to a certain message.
Similarly, with regard to group Telegram conversations, administrators can deactivate the reactions or configure the chat to choose only a few to use.
The information provided by Android Police, highlights that each of the reactions will start with an automatic animation.
For now, this feature has only been seen in the iOS version of Telegram; however, it is expected that it can be tested on Android devices soon.
