Telegram takes the lead in WhatsApp again with significant improvements

Share our screen, change video playback speed and even a new option to delete message history, news from the latest Telegram beta.

We always pay close attention to each of the upcoming news for WhatsApp because it is the most important messaging app at the moment, but the truth is that the first alternative that you are always going to go to is Telegram, a stable application, with great confidentiality and one of the first to hear the news before any other rival.

And in the latest beta of Telegram, especially the 7.9.0, they added new controls on video playback speed, an unfinished option for screen sharing, and even a new option for automatic history deletion.

The most important novelty is the possibility that we are given to share the screen, at least during a voice call or a 1 to 1 video call, but it still doesn’t seem to work properly.

According to Androidpolice, to share the screen, at least in this beta version, we must first stop the current video and then select the three corresponding options that will be offered to us during the sharing: phone screen, front camera or rear camera.

Another very interesting new feature is the ability to choose different video playback speeds and this works for both local shared videos and YouTube links. Not that I have a lot of options, but we can choose between 0.2x, 0.5x, 1x, 1.5x, and 2x.

And finally the other novelty is a new option to delete the history of a conversation when he’s over a month old. It must be remembered that the previous configuration of the longest duration was one week, so we can keep some conversations a little longer that we want to have a certain expiration date.

Remember that all these new features are in beta, so we will have to wait a few more weeks for them to reach the stable version.
