Telegram Launches Power Saving Mode Feature, HP Battery Becomes More Efficient

Liputan6.com, Jakarta – Application chatting Telegram has introduced a Power Saving Mode to save device battery usage for their application users. With this new capability, the Telegram app can later turn off certain features it deems to be consuming too much power.

What’s interesting, this new Telegram feature can be set manually, it can even be activated automatically when the device’s battery is at a certain percentage. For example, this feature will automatically activate when the HP battery reaches 20 percent or 30 percent.

The way this feature works is by turning off other features that are considered to consume quite a lot of power, such as videos and GIFs that play automatically, animated stickers, including updates that run in the background (iOS users only).

Later, Telegram users can also permanently turn off these features to save battery usage while running the application.

Quoting information from the official Telegram website, Saturday (11/3/2023), the company has conducted manual testing on more than 200 models of Android devices. Thus, they can produce more optimal power-saving settings for Telegram application users.

For information, the presence of this feature can be said to be a differentiator offered by Telegram, especially when compared to WhatsApp. Because application chatting the new Meta has an option to turn off the feature auto-download the actual media is more enabled to save device storage and device battery.
