Many users are currently switching from WhatsApp to Messenger Telegram. Especially with funny or interesting messages, the temptation to take a screenshot is great. But does your chat partner notice anything? We’ll tell you.
The answer is yes and no. With “normal” chats, pictures or profile pictures, your counterpart will not receive a notification when you take a screenshot. There is one exception, however. In the case of “secret” chats, your conversation partner will notice as soon as you take a screenshot.
But there are two tricks you can use to prevent notification:
- 1. Activate airplane mode, take a screenshot and deactivate airplane mode
- 2. Just record the screen instead of taking a screenshot
At the moment, Snapchat is the only app that notifies the person you’re talking to when taking a screenshot. But such a function could soon also be available in WhatsApp.
