In the emotional interview, Baldwin says the incident turned his life into a nightmare: “I haven’t slept for weeks. I’m constantly dreaming about the incident and about guns going off everywhere. I am in shock, sad and angry. Someone is responsible for what happened. I don’t know who, but I know it’s not me. I would do something to myself if I was to blame. I didn’t pull the trigger, I never would if I pointed the gun at someone.”

However, Baldwin found himself in a storm of criticism. “He should have checked the weapon,” said Serge Svetnoy, the set lighting manager, who filed a lawsuit against the production house and the actor. In any case, the big question remains how a real bullet ended up in the gun. Was Baldwin negligent? Was the weapons officer not experienced enough? Did a high workload and tight budget lead to unsafe conditions on set? Or is it sabotage? These questions also keep Baldwin awake and all avenues are covered during the candid interview with the actor.
