Telecom Italia TIM Gains 3.79% as DiaSorin Falls: Italian Stock Exchange Update

Positive tone for Telecom Italia TIM. DiaSorin, however, fell significantly after the approval of the industrial plan for the four-year period 2024-2027

The major indices of the Italian Stock Exchange and the main European financial markets recorded fractional discounts in the first session of the week.

At 1.05 pm FTSEMib recorded a decline of 0.37% to 30,261 points, after having fluctuated between a minimum of 30,196 points and a maximum of 30,339 points. At the same time the FTSE Italia All Share lost 0.39%. Negative performances also for the FTSE Italia Mid Cap (-0.62%) and for the FTSE Italia Star (-0,82%).

Il bitcoin it was brought back to 41,000 dollars (around 37,500 euros).

Lo spread Btp-Bund it narrowed below 170 points, with the yield on the 10-year BTP falling below 3.7%.

L’euro it stands just above $1.09.

Positive session for the Monte dei Paschi di Siena (+0.3% to 2.995 euros) and for BancoBPM (+1,08% a 4,785 euro).

Telecom Italia TIM gains 3.79% to 0.279 euros. The telephone company announced that it had received notification of an ordinary summons from Vivendi, in which the legitimacy of the board resolution taken by the company on 5 November 2023, which approved the sale of the so-called NetCo, was contested. Telecom Italia TIM clarified that Vivendi has not formulated any precautionary request, nor has it asked to urgently inhibit the execution of the resolution and the consequent negotiating acts. The telephone company reiterated that the activities envisaged in the agreements with KKR aimed at closing the operation will therefore continue, as expected, without delays or interruptions.

DiaSorin recorded a decline of 1.72% to 90.32 euros. The diagnostics company has approved the industrial plan for the four-year period 2024-2027, which confirms and expands the strategic trajectories that will guide development in the coming years. In particular, according to management, the completion of existing strategic projects and the launch of new initiatives will support growth over the reference period of the plan.

Focus on Brunello Cucinelli (-1,11% a 84,55 euro). The cashmere group’s stock entered the FTSEMib basket, replacing CNH Industrial (+0.1%); the latter is close to delisting from Piazza Affari.

At MidCap the jump of Antares Vision (+10,8% a 1,854 euro).
