An innkeeper in the Thuringian Forest is selling travelers the new-fangled winter drink “grog” with the finest West Indian rum, but this comes at a price. Finally, a lady from the Grand Ducal secret police who has come by uses an adventurous breath-control device to expose the innkeeper as a charlatan – the overpriced drink was adulterated with water and the cheapest rum baking flavor. Amusing Tele-Lotto short crime story with Ingeborg Krabbe and Wolfgang Stumph.
For 20 years, GDR viewers watched the drawing of the Tele-Lotto numbers “5 out of 35”. The show was broadcast every Sunday on the first channel of GDR television from January 9, 1972 and was very popular. On the one hand, because each drawing was hosted by prominent artists or athletes. On the other hand, the highlight of this show was that each individual number was assigned a genre, so that after the respective number was drawn, a short film was shown. The most popular was number 19: the short crime story.
