Telangana: The Chief Minister boycotted the Governor’s Republic Day celebration in the wake of the dispute between the Governor and the Chief Minister in Telangana. Telangana Chief Minister K. did not participate in the Republic Day celebrations conducted by Governor Tamilisai Soundarrajan. Chandrasekhara Rao stayed away.
KCR’s absence reflects the intensity of the dispute between the Chief Minister and the Governor. The celebrations were organized at Raj Bhavan.
Tamilisai Soundarrajan hoisted the national flag. The music director and writer of the song ‘Natu Natu’ which won Golden Globe Award and Oscar nomination, M.M. Keeravani and Chandra Bose were felicitated on the occasion.
