Bandai Namco’s marketing campaign for Tekken 8 is definitely keeping fans on their toes. They first gave us a brief teaser at last year’s EVO, before making their official debut a month later with the state of the game. We then had to wait three months to confirm that Jun Kazama would be part of the roster, so it’s understandable that many questioned whether the game would release this year. I think it’s safe to say that the developers are targeting 2023 after today.
After showing off Nina and Kazuya earlier this month, Bandai Namco has now given us a new gameplay trailer that gives us a closer look at what Shin Kazama is capable of in Tekken 8. Three videos like this in one month definitely makes it feel like Tekken 8 wants to take on Street Fighter 6 and Mortal Kombat 12.
What do you think of the roster so far and when will it be released?
