Tekken 8 Roster: Bandai Namco Accidentally Reveals Raven and Azucena as New Characters

Bandai Namco has officially confirmed more than a dozen characters for Tekken 8’s roster, though more potential fighters have come to light in recent days thanks to leaks. For starters, players could use Cheat Engine to dig into the game’s recent Closed Network Test, spilling the beans over six unannounced characters. Now it looks like Bandai Namco itself accidentally revealed a few fighters before it was time.

As spotted by a user on Reddit, Bandai Namco Europe recently posted updates to its website confirming Raven and Azucena for Tekken 8’s roster, before promptly removing those updates. The former was also one of the aforementioned six leaked characters.

While Azucena appears to be a new addition to the series (along with Jack-8), Raven is obviously a character Tekken fans will be familiar with. First introduced in Tekken 5, Raven returned in Tekken 6, but was missing from Tekken 7’s roster.

How long it will be before Bandai Namco officially unveils the duo remains to be seen, but we’ll be keeping a close eye on any updates, so stay tuned.

Tekken 8 is in development for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, and is scheduled to be released sometime before April 2024.
