Two 17-year-old teenagers were stabbed inside a school in Queens, and the NYPD has one person in custody.
Our reporter Yeila Lluberes, from Univision 41, went to the Bellerose neighborhood, where the educational center is located, and confirmed that it is another teenager who is in police custody.
He allegedly stabbed one of the students in the stomach and the other in the shoulder. During the incident, the school was forced to close its doors while the investigation was carried out.
Due to the violent incident, the Department of Education issued a statement emphasizing that “the well-being of students is a top priority.”

“Unfortunately, it’s sad that these young people are going through these difficult times,” said Johana Gonzales, who works in school administration.
He asserted that the directors of the institution had control of the school during, but that they later realized that two young people had been stabbed.
The two injured students are expected to recover.
Between July and December 2023, authorities have seized 2,200 weapons from educational centers in New York City.
