Teenagers Flocking to Cassette Kiosks in Blok M, South Jakarta

Several teenagers were watching the various cassettes being sold at the cassette kiosk in Blok M, South Jakarta. Because the kiosk was narrow, three teenagers were seen paying attention to the cassettes in front of the kiosk door, Wednesday (14/6/2023). Originally, the jacket stall was an old book stall.

Several book stalls in Blok M changed occupants. Some of the stalls that were originally old book stalls have changed to cassette kiosks and compact disk (CD).

Several teenagers flocked to the stall. They seemed enthusiastic about the shape of the cassette, which of course was foreign to them. Cassettes are sold for IDR 100 thousand. Near the kiosks there is also a radio and service kiosk tape recorder. Gen Z and gen alpha are generations that don’t experience listening to music by playing cassettes.
