Teenager was stabbed in the neck by a tourist bus salesman: fight in Times Square, New York – El Diario NY

A fifteen-year-old boy was stabbed in the neck apparently by an older man, a bus ride seller, in a confusing incident last night in Times Square, a tourist mecca in New York.

The violence unfolded outside the Palladium Times Square on the busy corner of Broadway y 44th Street at 8:45 p.m. Thursday, according to the NYPD.

The teenager injured with an “unknown object” tried to flee on a scooter, but collapsed. He was rushed to Bellevue Hospital in serious but stable condition. The police said that A 67-year-old man and three teenagers – two 16 and one 18 – were arrested.

A friend of the seller told ABC News that the worker had acted in self-defense when he stabbed the teenager. According to him, the victim and three of his friends had been harassing the suspect while he was working on the corner trying to sell tickets for a double-decker tour bus.

“He stands here for 14 or 15 hours selling tickets. He is standing, minding his own business. Then one of them hits him and tries to grab his jacket,” the friend said.

A black jacket, a scooter and bloody tissue paper were left at the scene, he described New York Post.

Just a few minutes earlier a young man had been stabbed to death in another group fight on the other side of the city, in a park in the Lower Manhattan.
