His body was found in a wood after eight days of torture… Three young men were sentenced Friday evening to Bobigny to sentences of 12 to twenty-five years in prison for having torture a teenager, following a scam narcotics failed in 2019.
The trial began on October 17 before the juvenile court of Seine-Saint-Denis. It took place in restricted publicity until the verdict was pronounced, which was public, due to the minority of two of the four accused, a few months before their 18th birthday at the time of the facts. Now aged 21, 22 and 31, the three men were sentenced respectively to 12 years, 18 years and twenty-five years in prison for sequestration with acts of tortures and barbarism.
The dead teenager choked in his own vomit
Sentences approaching the requisitions of the attorney general who had requested 15 to 28 years of imprisonment. In November 2019, the body of Oliver, 17, was found after a week of intense searches, more than 250 kilometers from Paris, in a wood south of Tours (Indre-et-Loire), stabbed with knives. The autopsy concluded that the teenager, seriously injured and extremely weakened, had died of suffocation in his vomit.
On the evening of November 6, 2019, the victim Oliver and a friend from his city of Sevran (Seine-Saint-Denis) agree to an appointment with a user of Snapchat who wishes to buy 500 grams of cannabis. The two 17-year-old friends do not have the drug in question but it doesn’t matter: they plan to extort the money.
Kicked into the canal
Arriving on a quay of the Ourcq canal, they robbed two young people from Noisy-le-Sec with a revolver (Seine-Saint-Denis) came for sale. The buyers did not have the expected 1,400 euros on them, so the apprentice scammers were content to steal their electric scooter, with which the friend fled. Oliver runs away… but is caught by his two victims.
Then begins his descent into hell. Hit, stripped, humiliated, his face disfigured, screaming in pain, the young man is kicked into the canal. The whole thing is filmed in videos broadcast as an example on social networks: “You wanted to carot us! », reproaches him one of his attackers in the images. Out of the water, the torturers take Oliver to a cellar Noisy-le-Sec, sequestered him there for several hours and the abuse continued. A video of the teenager, bleeding, in a stroller, was sent to his family to demand money in compensation.
