In an incident that is being investigated by the New York Police, a 17-year-old teenager was shot to death in the Washington Heights neighborhood of Manhattan.
Our reporter Gary Merson, from Univision 41, went to the scene of the crime, in front of 2971 Frederick Douglass Boulevard. He was able to verify that the shots were fired around 3:15 in the afternoon.
The first officers on the scene gave the teen CPR while waiting for the ambulance, but unfortunately they were unable to keep him alive.
They also found at least 6 bullet casings on the ground.
Some of the witnesses say that the minor would have received a bullet wound to the chest, but others assure that it was to the head.
Although they have not been able to make arrests so far, the New York Police activated the search for the suspect, who fled after the shooting.
