A new case of self-elimination raises alarm bells about mental health in the department of Huila. This time the tragic event occurred in a rural area of the municipality of Oporapa.
The victim is Diego Andrés Garcés Parra, only 15 years old, who was found dead inside his place of residence located in the La Esmeralda neighborhood of the town in question.
The macabre discovery was made in the early hours of Saturday morning, apparently by a relative who found him suspended in the bower next to the house. It is believed that the deceased killed himself during the night of Friday.
It will be the forensic doctors who determine exactly the motives for his death, the causes that caused it, and if there are circumstances different from those initially proposed by the criminalistics units.
Regarding his funeral, it was learned that it will be carried out by Funerales El Camino SAS, who since yesterday transported the coffin from Legal Medicine of Pitalito, to the house of his maternal grandmother in the La Esmeralda village of the municipality of Oporapa.
Their religious services will take place today in the temple of the Nuestra Señora de Las Mercedes Parish in the municipality of Saladoblanco, Huila at 03:00 in the afternoon. Its final destination will be the local cemetery of the municipality.
