STRØMSØ: On Monday at 18:30, a teenager was arrested by the police at the railway station.
– The person is said to have become threatening with the knife in connection with the sale of earphones. No one was injured and the knife was taken from the man. We are talking to the parties involved and opening a case, reports the police.
Three police cars – two uniformed and one civilian – have moved out to the square.
Police operations manager Inge Landsrød says that the situation must have escalated in connection with the sale. He doesn’t know what caused it to escalate.
It was a teenager who had the knife, according to the operation manager. The victim is in his 20s and he managed to take the knife from the teenager.
– There are some minor injuries to the victim. It is unclear whether it came from the handgun, he says to Drammens Tidende.
According to Landsrød, it currently does not appear to be a robbery.
– But that may change when we get an overview of the parties’ explanations, he says.
Police chief officer at the scene Marius Fredriksen says that they have questioned one party and taken the other party to the police station. The police will also collect video surveillance from the area.
