Teenage Suspects Questioned in Vienna Sexual Assault Case: Latest Updates from February 29, 2024

In October of last year, the mother of a minor is said to have filed a police report because sexual acts were said to have occurred between her daughter and several young people.
The State Criminal Police Office Vienna South Branch has taken over the investigation.
Accordingly, in the morning hours today, following an order from the Vienna Public Prosecutor’s Office, several suspects were held for immediate questioning. These are between 13 and 18 years old.
During one of these demonstrations, a 16-year-old resisted state authority. The teenager was temporarily arrested. After the other suspects were questioned, they were released.
The investigation is ongoing.
Further information will be announced on March 1, 2024 at a press conference at 1 p.m. An invitation will be sent out to all media representatives tomorrow.
