(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Jang Bo-in Choi Yoon-seon = A teenage male high school student turned himself in to the police while a preliminary notice that he would sexually assault a female student at an elementary school near Gangnam Station in Seoul was posted on an online community.

According to the Seoul Guro Police Station on the 15th, the student visited a police box in Guro-gu that afternoon and claimed that he had written a ‘sexual assault notice’.

The police are checking the facts.

On the online community DC Inside, a post was posted at an elementary school near Gangnam Station at around 1:30 pm that day, stating that a girl aged 8 to 13 would be targeted for a crime. That post has been deleted.

The Seoul Gangnam Police Station, Seocho Police Station, and Suseo Police Station reinforced patrol by deploying patrol cars at elementary schools in their jurisdictions.
