Jonathan Rivera’s teenage son was taken into custody and is suspected of murdering his father, his girlfriend and their young son in an apartment in the Bronx.
All three had wounds caused by a knife.
Local media reported that The young man would have arrived at a local hospital with injuries in the hands.
As of Tuesday morning, no charges had yet been filed against him, nor had his identification been revealed.
Rivera’s relatives said they were devastated by the tragedy.
Miguel Ángel Rivera, Kayden’s grandfather, remembered him with affection. “That was my baby. That was my baby. He saw me and he saw his dad”expressed to Univision 41.
He deeply regretted not having been able to share a last coffee with his son Jonathan.
” I always made coffee for himI have the cup in my car, drinking from it,” he said.
Everyone in the neighborhood describes the family as good people, including the owner of a bodega on the corner.
“I know the boy. He’s sweet, he was very sweet. I got attached to him, he was very kind,” said Dahan Ali.
