Teenage Cheerleaders Mistakenly Enter Wrong Car & Shot in Texas Parking Lot

Amidst a series of shooting incidents in the U.S. recently, a group of teenage women were shot in a parking lot after mistaking a car for a car and entering the wrong car door.

According to CNN, the shooting took place at midnight on the 18th in a supermarket parking lot in Elgin, Texas.

This parking lot was used as a ‘carpool’ place where cheerleaders who had to go to the practice room in the next city in the morning each drove their own car and then moved together with their colleagues to a long-distance destination in one vehicle.

As usual on this day, the cheerleaders arrived at the parking lot late at night after practicing all day, and they started looking for their cars that they had parked earlier in the morning to return home.

One of the cheerleaders, a teenage female Heather Ross, got out of her colleague’s car, went to a nearby car, opened the driver’s door, realized it wasn’t her car, and hurried back to her colleague’s car.

It was late at night, so I couldn’t see well, so I was mistaken when I saw a car that looked similar.

But the situation did not end here.

A man in the mistaken car got out of the car, approached the car where the cheerleaders were riding, pulled a gun from his bosom, and started shooting.

“I rolled down the window to apologize, but he just raised his hand and opened fire,” said Heather, who was in the car.

Bullets rained down on the car in which five people were riding, Heather suffered only abrasions, but 18-year-old Peyton Washington was shot in the back and leg.

Washington, who was transported to the hospital by rescue helicopter, was once in a critical situation due to an organ rupture, and is in such a serious condition that he has to undergo surgery one after another.

The shooter, a 25-year-old man, was arrested by police. His motive for the crime is still unknown.

In the United States, in recent days, there have been cases of shooting at opponents who accidentally approached one after another.

On the 13th, in Kansas City, Missouri, a 16-year-old black boy who was trying to take his brother was shot by the landlord after accidentally visiting the wrong house.

The boy went to the house in question because he mistook the address and rang the doorbell. On that day, he was shot twice and taken to the hospital for treatment.

On the night of the 15th, in New York, a 20-year-old woman who was riding with her friends was lost and was killed by a sudden shooting while wandering. Her shooter was a 65-year-old man who shot her twice at her car in front of his home, a police investigation revealed.
