Teenage Boy Shot in the Bronx: Police Searching for Suspect

NEW YORK — A 15-year-old boy was the victim of a shooting in the Bronx on Friday, according to New York City Police.

The incident took place shortly before 8 p.m., near 2675 Grand Concourse, between East Kingsbridge Road and East 196th Street.

The teenage victim was shot in the left leg and was transported to Jacobi Hospital, police said.

Authorities did not reveal the cause of the shooting. There is an active search for a suspect, who was last seen wearing all black.

Yesterday, another 17-year-old teenager died from a gunshot wound to the neck while leaving school in the Melrose section of the Bronx.
