In South Carolina, a teenager who was relaxing on a beach with a metal detector came to the rescue when a man lost his ring.
It almost derailed the offer.
Myrtle Beach Police Department reported on Facebook that a man from Tennessee stopped the officers and explained that he was preparing to propose to his beloved when he realized that the ring had fallen somewhere in the sand.
The police launched a search, during which a local resident heard about what was happening and offered his help. 15-year-old Isai Krekeler, who came to Myrtle Beach from Ohio, brought his metal detector to search for treasure and was able to find the jewelry in less than a minute.
The man did propose to the chosen one, who agreed to marry him.
The teen said he only wanted one award from the couple.
“If they have a son, name him after me,” he said on Good Morning America.
Remember Grandpa brought to tears by the offer beloved, whom he first met 60 years ago. He invited her to become his wife right at the airport.
