Kailyn Lowry takes a hiatus from Twitter after Tuesday’s explosive episode of Teen Mom 2, in which she faced the fallout from her claims that ex-husband Javi Marroquin attempted to hook up with her, despite her engaged to Lauren Comeau. The MTV star said goodbye to her 1.3 million Twitter followers at least temporarily amid the backlash she received during Tuesday’s episode, but continues to post on Instagram, from Wednesday.
Tuesday’s episode was intense for the mother of four as it was filmed the day after the episode aired in which she revealed text messages she claimed to be from Marroquin, attempting to have sex sex with her as they negotiated the deposit for Lincoln Marroquin, a 7 year old son. “Last night an episode of the show aired where I revealed information,” Lowry explained at the start of the episode. “[Javi] keeps texting me and is upset that I filmed the situation. “
While Lowry told Vee Torres that she feared criticism for reversing the incident on camera because she looked “messy,” “bitter” and “mean,” the wife of the Lowry’s ex, Jo Rivera, replied simply, “You say the truth, it happened. ”Lowry replied about airing his dirty laundry on MTV,“ Lauren is probably a nice girl. It’s not his fault; I wish I had never done that. But it is not my responsibility. … I’m fine, I caused an s – storm for no reason and I have to clean up with me. “
Later that day, as he dropped Lincoln off at Marroquin for the weekend, the Coffee Convos host was clearly in a panic, revealing to a producer that Comeau had tried to sideline her for a private conversation, while Marroquin largely ignored him. “I’ve just seen her. I know what’s going to happen right now. He’s mad at me, I can say anything, ”Lowry told the producers. “This is not good, what will happen. It’s not good.”
Back when the controversial episode first aired in October, Lowry publicly apologized to Comeau on Twitter. “[Lauren] did not deserve the humiliation she suffered because of a situation between Javi and me, “tweeted the 16-year-old pregnant at the time.” I was in her shoes and I felt this pain, but I have never known that is exploited on TV. “
Marroquin took to Instagram to defend himself before briefly deactivating his social networks. “I stopped filming to live my life normally because I realized that my children’s lives as I got older would suffer if I continued to be a part of this TV show,” he wrote. “Not only did my mistakes happen in the show I had to live with (and continue to live with), but I know that someday I will have to explain to my kids all of my actions… I will go back to it. mind my business and live my life with my family and be the best dad I can be. “
