Teen Mom 2 star Kailyn Lowry has made a life-changing decision after welcoming her twins. The reality TV personality revealed on her podcast, “Barely Famous,” that she got her tubes tied following the birth of her sixth and seventh children, whom she shares with boyfriend Elijah Scott. Lowry shared the details of her surgery, including her initial thoughts during the procedure.
“They cut my tubes out,” Lowry disclosed on her podcast. She admitted that she found the surgery to be time-consuming, stating, “I remember laying there thinking, ‘This is taking f–king forever.'” Scott, who was present during the C-section and tubal ligation, confirmed that the surgery took an additional 30 minutes to complete.
Scott recalled a humorous moment during the procedure when Lowry asked to see her tubes as they were being removed. This light-hearted exchange added some levity to what could have been a nerve-wracking experience for the couple.
Lowry also opened up about the paperwork process she went through before the surgery. She revealed that the medical staff informed her of potential side effects, including regret. However, Lowry confidently stated that she would never regret her decision, considering she already has seven children.
Despite her initial conviction, Lowry admitted to briefly second-guessing her choice after the procedure was done. However, she ultimately feels content with her decision and does not regret it. She shared, “I feel done. I don’t regret it. But also, if I did not get my tubes taken out and got pregnant again, it would not… like, it wouldn’t have upset me.”
Lowry announced on Friday that she secretly gave birth to twins, a boy and a girl, but did not disclose their birthdate or names. She did reveal that she delivered them at 35 weeks. With the arrival of her twins, Lowry now has six boys and one girl.
Reflecting on her journey to motherhood, Lowry documented her experiences on Season 2 of “16 and Pregnant” in 2010. Her eldest son, Isaac, now 14, was born that January with Jo Rivera. She later welcomed son Lincoln, 10, with Javi Marroquin in 2013, and sons Lux, 6, and Creed, 3, with Chris Lopez in 2017 and 2020, respectively. Lowry also has a one-year-old son named Rio with Scott.
Lowry’s decision to get her tubes tied marks a significant milestone in her life. With seven children already, she feels confident in her choice and is ready to embrace this new chapter of her life.
