Rhys Langfordthe teenager with cancer, had started a fundraising campaign for Jacob Jonesand so that the child in the United States could face his neuroblastoma in better conditions, while he underwent surgery and chemotherapy.
Langford, who suffered from osteosarcomaa type of bone cancer, died at his home in the valleys of South Wales, United Kingdom.
The boy’s family issued a release saying that the young man was a “hero”, and mourned his passing giving their condolences to his family. “Fly high Rhys and we are all very proud and grateful for what you did for our Jacob” they added.
The mother of the teenager, Catherine, 38, also made a post regarding her son’s death. She said the family was “disconsolately”adding that “life would never be the same again.”
“Our hearts are broken that we are losing our son, but filled with pride that considering his diagnosis, is thinking of other people” the Langford family had stated.
