The parents of a teenager who was mugged in Liverpool city center say ‘something has to be done’ to prevent it from happening to other children.
Anfield’s AndyBarr said his 14-year-old daughter Carla was attacked near the Queen Square bus station on Saturday, June 5.
Carla’s father says she was alone and waiting for the bus home when a gang of ‘Shitty teens started beating her up.
He says witnesses told him that there were about 13 girls and four boys who joined the attack.
The 35-year-old told ECHO: “My daughter was on her way home when she was mugged by a bunch of teenagers, who were screwed up downtown.
”Obviously you know everything about gangs thanks to the articles published in recent days.
“I had just gotten home and had to take the bus at Queen Square.
“They just launched an attack on her, they were all drunk and drugged. “
To make matters worse, Andy said the gangs posted the attack on social media and that he saw some of the images.
His daughter knew one of the attackers and claims they have been sending violent videos.
He added: “A video has been posted online and a couple of clips have been sent to me, but it’s all edited material on Snapchat or whatever.
“People will say ‘they are just children, but they are willing to post it online and make one more show of it.
“They are bastards, you wouldn’t dream of doing this when we were kids. “
Fortunately, the attack was stopped by a woman who was also waiting at the bus station and a couple leaving a nearby pub.
Carla’s dad said the outcome ‘could have been a lot worse’ if strangers didn’t step in to help.
After removing Carla from the situation, the stranger left her at home and called her parents.
Talking about the timing of her receiving After the call about the attack, Carla’s mother, Terriann Jones, told ECHO: “I had to get a woman to call me to tell me that she had helped me. The summary ends.
