Teddy Riner and MediaSchool team up to open a sports business school in Nice

The variation of the Paris School of Sports will open its doors in Nice in October 2021 with the support of the French judoka.

If his mind is focused on the upcoming Olympic Games in Tokyo, there is also life beside the tatami for Teddy Riner. The judoka has just announced the opening of new sports management schools, a concept he launched in 2018 in Paris by partnering with the MediaSchool group, chaired by Franck Papazian.

After a transformed trial in the Capital, followed a year later by openings in Rennes and Toulouse, the Riner-Papazian team is preparing to launch four new campuses in Nice, Strasbourg, Marseille and Montpellier in October 2021.

“The need in these sports professions is present everywhere”

Called School of Sports, these schools will offer training in sports management professions (events, marketing, communication, etc.) accessible to Bac +3. “ Already in 2018, when we imagined our first school in Paris, I had in mind to develop this offer as quickly as possible in the regions because I know that the need for skills in sports management professions is present everywhere, company and local authority level, explains the Olympic champion. Today, I am delighted to be able to offer young people and also retraining athletes this offer deployed in new cities, near their homes.»

This training focused on sport broadens the range of MediaSchool which now brings together nearly 40 schools offering training courses as diverse as communication, journalism, digital, audiovisual production, luxury goods, content production, or ecological transition. . The group intends to build “a professionalizing hub serving the employability of students“, with the ambition to train 10,000 students per year by 2024.
